April 23, 2010:   On Earth Day, the five environmental clubs in the BetlLine Arboretum Education program joined together for a day of hands-on activities such as school bird counts, live animal programs, garden installations, and forest restoration service projects on the BeltLine Arboretum. February 18, 2010: Thanks, Atlanta Public Schools, for spreading the good word about trees and education! Georgia Arbor Day activities with Trees Atlanta, Tim Womick, and Alliance for Climate Education have been super successful this week with presentations and plantings in several Atlanta public schools. Check it out!

February 4 , 2010:  Trees Atlanta joined the Dukes Foundation, Atlanta Public Schools and the Southeastern Horticultural Society to plant 4 trees honoring Mrs. Rosa Barksdale-Ferrell, Mrs. Mildred Ball, Mrs. Linda Kaloostain and Mrs. Niyokia Hall in celebration of National Mentoring Month. Read more.

October 27, 2009: Trees Atlanta Education Coordinator Robby Astrove is Principal For A Day at Brown Middle School! The Principal For A Day program, sponsored by Atlanta Partners for Education, provides an opportunity to go beyond the headlines and get a true picture of public education in action. Participants are given a firsthand opportunity to experience both the strengths of Atlanta's public schools and the challenges they face.
