NeighborWoods Workshop

Saturday, August 1st, 2009 from 9 am to Noon

Want to learn how to host a tree planting project in your own neighborhood?  Or maybe just learn more about the program?  Trees Atlanta invites you to attend the 2nd Annual NeighborWoods Workshop.

Particpants will learn more about Trees Atlanta's NeighborWoods program through which volunteers plant and maintain more than 2,000 trees per year in the City of Atlanta.  The goal of the workshp is to increase planting of large shade trees throughout Atlanta.  Presentations will feature Atlanta's canopy trends, the value of trees, and how to create a successful project for your neighborhood. Following the presentations, participants will tour Trees Atlanta's award winning "green" facility and demonstration plantings to learn more about recommended tree species for public and residential plantings.

The workshop is free and breakfast is provided.  Email Susan if you would like to attend.
