NeighborWoods is a cooperative effort among Metro Atlanta Neighborhoods and Trees Atlanta to plant trees in neighborhoods, raise awareness about the benefits of trees, and create a core group of tree advocates.

NeighborWoods

NeighborWoods' objectives are to:

Plant

Plant native shade trees to replace and sustain canopy.

Educate

Promote the value of trees, their fragile position in the environment, and their need for ongoing care and management.

Communicate

Create a core group of Tree Advocates.

If you would like to enroll your neighborhood or if you have questions, contact: susan@treesatlanta.org

INeighborWoods Projects

Since NeighborWoods began in 2000, community volunteers have planted thousands of trees. Participating neighborhoods to date include: Adair Park, Adamsville, Ardmore Park, Capital View, Claremont Heights, Druid Hills, East Atlanta, Garden Hills, Glenwood Estates, Inman Park, Summer Hill, Peachtree Hills, Underwood Hills, Vine City and many more! Planning a project is easy. We require a need for 20 or more trees in front yards and/or public right-of-way (in a continuous area) and neighborhood participation to organize a project. Contact Susan today to turn your neighborhood into a NeighborWoods community.
