Celebrate the start of the planting season by buying a tree for your home or business.
The 12th Annual Trees Atlatna Tree Sale, sponsored by Turner Broadcasting System, Inc., is free to attend and will feature over 1,000 native and unusual trees and plants. A few of these trees include dogwood, elms, baldcypress, crapemyrtles, yellow flowering magnolias, an American wisteria called 'Amethyst Falls', American hazelnut, dwarf tulip-poplar, 5 varieties of silverbells, and 19 varieties of oaks. Prices for trees and plants range from $8-150.
"Trees Atlanta's tree sales offer trees both for first-time tree planters as well as tree enthusiasts," said Greg Levine, Chief Program Officer. "There will be tree experts on hand to offer tree selection assistance and planting instructions. We're here to help everyone have the best tree-buying experience possible."
This year's tree sale will also have a NEW element to it. In addition to purchasing trees, visitors are invited to spend time at the Trees Atlanta Kendeda Center by enjoying the FESTIVAL component that has been integrated into the tree sale!
From 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., there will be features such as music by Smokey's Farmhouse Band, beverages from Honest Tea, tree care demonstrations, speakers, a small petting zoo of sheep by Ewe-niversally Green, and much more, including opportunities to learn about the components of a LEED-certified building.
"We would love for the community to come see what the Trees Atlanta Kendeda Center has to offer," said Connie Veates, Chief Operating Officer. "We are inviting community partners to take part in Trees Atlanta's tree sale, so that our visitors have access to not only an excellent selection of trees, shrubs, and vines, but also to knowledgeable tree experts, friendly entertainment, and an enjoyable Saturday in Atlanta as we celebrate the start of the planting season."

Trees Atlanta donors of $500 or more are invited to attend a preview shopping Friday night the evening before the Tree Sale (4 pm to 6 pm only). And EVERYONE is invited to the new Trees Atlanta headquarters on October 8th for the best tree sale in the south!
