Docent Training 2022

The Docent Training Program prepares volunteers to become a Certified Volunteer Docent for Trees Atlanta’s walking tours of trees. Docents lead the walking tours of the Atlanta BeltLine Arboretum and can also lead other tree tour topics and routes. Docents can use their training to take on other speaking roles representing Trees Atlanta, such as talking about Trees Atlanta's mission and programs at community meetings and events.

The Docent Training Program consists of 5 classes, plus additional tour requirements to become Certified. For more details about the Trees Atlanta Docent program and requirements, please read: What is a Trees Atlanta Docent?

2022 Docent Training Schedule:

  • Saturday, January 29, 2022
  • Saturday, February 5, 2022
  • Saturday, February 12, 2022
  • Saturday, February 26, 2022
  • Saturday, March 5, 2022

Class Time: 9:00 am - Noon. Coffee and light refreshments served before each class starts.

Location: Various Locations. This includes Trees Atlanta - Kendeda Center, 225 Chester Avenue (location is subject to change) and the various BeltLine trails. Classes will be a mix of in-person and virtual.

Fee: Fee includes class materials. Limited number of scholarships are available based upon need.
