Help Reforest 825 Warner
A Special Giving Opportunity for Our New Home
Trees Atlanta has exciting news: construction of our new headquarters is underway at 825 Warner Street! Be a part of this special giving opportunity: have your name included on a special tree identification marker at our new headquarters.
200 new trees will reforest the former industrial site.
The onsite tree canopy will soar from 1% to 50% over time.
Since our founding in 1985, Trees Atlanta has steadily grown with the needs of our city. The urgency to continue planting, conserving, and educating the public about the benefits of trees and creating opportunties for people to put our mission into action grows. In 2015, our work overflowed our current headquarters at 225 Chester Avenue, and we expanded our education programs to a satellite location on Krog Street NE. Later, our operations team moved to a third space at Murphy Crossing SW. We soon realized that we wanted to reunite our teams at one location.
In 2019, Trees Atlanta’s board and leadership set a goal to create a truly transformative space for our staff, supporters, and the community at large. We acquired the property at 825 Warner Street SW, located in the Oakland City neighborhood and adjacent to the Atlanta BeltLine Westside Trail, and began construction of our new Headquarters.
The parcel was once an industrial facility for manufacturing baked goods. Now, as the new headquarters for Trees Atlanta, it is designed to house our new facitities and increase the greenspace with hundreds of new trees and abundant native plants. Canopied trails will connect the property to the Westside trail of the Atlanta BeltLine.
As we enter the final phase of our capital campaign, Trees Atlanta invites you to create a living legacy by sponsoring a tree at our next home. Your gift is instrumental in our transformation of an industrial, contaminated lot into a lush oasis in the city. Through the planting of 200 trees, the onsite tree canopy will soar from 1% to 50% over time. Your donation commemorates that transformation. Donors to this campaign will be acknowledged with a customized tree identification marker at the base of a tree or grove.
