As more insurance companies use aerial imagery and remote assessments to evaluate properties, some homeowners are receiving notices requiring them to prune—or even remove—healthy trees to maintain their coverage. How should homeowners respond? What role does a certified arborist play? And how can we balance protecting our homes while preserving the trees that make Atlanta the City in the Forest?
Join Logan House, Georgia Arborist Association President, Board Certified Master Arborist, and City of Decatur Arborist, for an engaging virtual lunch and learn exploring the intersection of tree care, risk management, and home insurance. Logan will discuss how tree risk is properly evaluated, why aerial assessments don't always tell the full story, when tree removal is truly warranted, and how professional arborist reports can help homeowners make informed decisions.

About the Presenter: Logan House is a Board Certified Master Arborist. Logan currently serves as a City of Decatur City Arborist and as President of the Georgia Arborist Association, which provides credentialing and education to ISA Certified Arborists and other tree care professionals. Logan has worked for private tree companies in sales and management roles, and with other government agencies providing ordinance support, tree inventories, and endangered species conservation.
