Workshop: Figs for All - Propagate Your Own Fig at Trees Atlanta Nursery
Sat Aug 08 | 10am-11am | Trees Atlanta nursery
Love figs? Learn how to grow your own! Join us at the Trees Atlanta Nursery for a hands-on workshop where you’ll learn the simple and rewarding art of fig propagation. Figs are one of the easiest and most generous fruit trees to grow, and in this class you’ll turn a single cutting from the fig trees at the Trees Atlanta nursery into a thriving tree you can enjoy for years to come.
Participants will learn step-by-step techniques for propagating figs from cuttings, including how to select healthy wood, prepare cuttings, and care for young trees as they root and grow. You’ll leave with the knowledge—and your own fig cutting—to start growing fruit at home.
Whether you’re a backyard gardener, urban grower, or simply curious about fruit trees, this workshop is a great way to deepen your connection to Atlanta’s “City in the Forest” while growing something nourishing & delicious to enjoy for many seasons to come! Come get your hands dirty and grow a fig tree of your own!
