“Being part of the team this Georgia Arbor Day” by Greg Levine

Being part of the team this Georgia Arbor Day
By Greg Levine, Co- Executive Director & Chief Program Officer, Trees Atlanta

This month, Trees Atlanta was honored to host a meeting of the Arbor Day Foundation’s Board of Trustees at our Kendeda Center headquarters. It was a timely affair, as Georgia’s Arbor Day is on February 19. The Arbor Day Foundation now houses the national Alliance for Community Trees (ACT), of which Trees Atlanta is a founding member.

ACT is comprised of groups like Trees Atlanta from throughout the country. Member organizations share information on a regular basis so that we can do more with less and learn from each other’s mistakes and successes.
