February School Break: Free Drop-In Programs 2023

Come to the new Trees Atlanta Kendeda TreeHouse and participate in our free*, drop in programs for kiddos during the February APS School Break! (*Thursday’s Homeschool program requires a fee and is open to all rising 2nd-5th graders.)

All events will be hosted at: Trees Atlanta, 825 Warner Street SW, Atlanta GA 30310

Monday, Feb. 20: Cozy Up for Storytime
9:30 AM – 11:00 AM
Dress in your comfiest PJ’s, bring a blanket, and get cozy with us for some winter-themed story time. Feel free to bring your own books too!

Tuesday, Feb. 21: DIY Bird Feeders
9:30 AM – 11:00 AM
Help us take care of our feathered friends and learn about bird species that winter in Georgia. Supplies will be provided.

Wednesday, Feb. 22: Mindfulness Nature Journaling
9:30 AM – 11:00 AM
Practicing self-care is so important during winter! Create your own journal and learn how trees can benefit our mental health. Supplies will be provided.

Thursday, Feb. 23: Homeschool Day “Wonderful Winter Trees”*
9:30 AM – 1:00 PM
Winter tree identification and mindfulness exercises. Registration and fee required. Click here to register. Limited scholarships available. Contact education@treesatlanta.org to inquire.

Friday, Feb. 24: Hot Cocoa Paint n’ Sip
9:30 AM – 11:00 AM
Warm up with a cup of hot cocoa while creating a winter wonderland masterpiece! Supplies will be provided.

  • Address: Trees Atlanta Kendeda TreeHouse, 825 Warner Street SW, Atlanta, GA 30310.
  • Transit Options: We are approximately 1 mile from the Oakland City or West End MARTA train stations (Red/Gold Lines).
  • Walk or Bike: We’re located off the Atlanta BeltLine Westside Trail at the Allene Avenue access point. Bike racks are located near the tall metal silo tower.
  • Parking: Limited number of parking spaces are available at our location in addition to public street parking.
