In Support of Our Black Communities

“Trees Atlanta is a community group that prides itself on its diversity both internally and in its outreach. We will continue to listen to and support our staff, our volunteers, and the Black community by staying informed and protecting not just trees but each other. We would not be able to carry out our mission without the meaningful connections we have within the historically Black communities we serve.

The recent events on the news and in our everyday lives should not go unaddressed. Trees Atlanta does not condone racism and violence; we acknowledge that the Black community is treated unfairly. Our hearts go out to the families who are grieving and the communities that are hurting.

As we go through these challenging times, we will continue to act with empathy and compassion.”
