First Nalley Tree Planting of the Season

The Nalley Tree Campaign was created by the Nalley dealerships in Decatur, in partnership with the City of Decatur, DeKalb County, Trees Atlanta, Park Pride and Keep DeKalb Beautiful. Their mission is to work with area citizens to plant 10,000 trees in 3 years in Decatur and DeKalb County.

Trees Atlanta is kicking off the final year of the the Campaign with a planting of 1,000 trees at Zonolite Park in North Druid Hills. Zonolite Park is a former EPA superfund site that has been cleaned up and its bottomland hardwood forest along South Fork Peachtree Creek is being restored. Planting will take place at this site on November 3rd, November 15th, and December 8th.

The South Fork Conservancy has also been pivotal in the planning and implementation of the planting at Zonolite. The park is located at the end of Zonolite Place, just off the intersection of Johnson Rd. and Briarcliff Rd.
