What’s a treeple?

Treeple are our kind of people. People who plant (and love) trees and make their communities better in a variety of ways. Plantlanta is an ambitious project perfect for seasoned treeple and aspiring treeple! You can be a part of Plantlanta 2022 by signing up for a project site today!

Invite a friend to join you. Introducing others to new communities across Atlanta and to the power of community forestry is a key benefit of Plantlanta.

Follow Trees Atlanta and keep an eye on our @treesatlanta social media accounts to meet your treeple: local businesses, organizations, community leaders, and volunteers that are engaged and building their communities. Together, we can work to make our city greener, healthier, and more resilient.

Plant Trees + Atlanta = Plantlanta

The Plantlanta 2022 goal is 650 trees planted in a single weekend!

Are you a neighborhood leader or want to be one? If your neighborhood is in or near one of the Plantlanta planting sites, help us get your neighbors signed up to volunteer! Contact: neighborwoods@treesatlanta.org

Plantlanta activates neighborhoods and engages neighbors with Trees Atlanta staff, volunteers, and Atlanta City Council Members and other city leaders. Together, we plant trees in all 12 city council districts in a single weekend! This citywide collaboration reflects the City of Atlanta’s commitment to planting trees for all across our City in the Forest.

Whether your first time or hundredth time planting trees with us, you are welcomed! We’ll teach you how to plant new trees and provide all tools to use during the project. By the end of the morning, you will have plant trees that will benefit all people for decades to come. Let’s do this!

Plantlanta is made possible with support from the City of Atlanta Department of Parks & Recreation and Department of City Planning and generous donations from businesses, foundations, and individuals like you.

The City of Atlanta is a supporting sponsor of Trees Atlanta community programs and a founding Partner City in the One Million Trees Initiative.
