Pull Weeds, Sip Wine: Volunteer at Weeds and Wine 2026

Welcome to Weeds and Wine 2026!

As the days grow longer and Atlanta’s summer heat moves in, the flowers, birds, and weeds of the Atlanta Beltline Arboretum are moving in with the summertime. The Trees Atlanta Beltline Arboretum team needs help to protect our native plants from aggressive species. Join our 2026 Weeds and Wine Intern, Josie, to play in the dirt and enjoy a few drinks!

What is Weeds and Wine?

Every summer, Trees Atlanta hosts the Weeds and Wine program to combine hands-on environmental stewardship with a fun social outing. Volunteers make over 75% of this work possible by helping maintain our meadow spaces. Each Wednesday evening from 6pm to 8pm, volunteers gather along the Atlanta Beltline Arboretum to help remove invasive weeds and care for the landscape. After the work is done, the group heads to a nearby restaurant for the “wine” portion of the evening, where volunteers can relax, connect, and enjoy complimentary refreshments as a thank you for their efforts. Whether you’re looking to give back, meet new people, or spend time outdoors, Weeds and Wine offers a rewarding and enjoyable way to support Atlanta’s green spaces.

How Can I Participate?

All the participants MUST register online in advance through our Calendar of Events. Registered volunteers will receive more information, including proper attire and meeting location. Projects require physical effort in outdoor areas with warm temperatures, vegetation, and insects. Bringing a refillable water bottle, sunscreen, and insect repellent is recommended. Below you will find a schedule of locations and host restaurants for Summer 2026.
