New Consumer-Friendly Program Enables Drives
to Reduce Their Daily Carbon Footprint

In partnership with GreenPrint, LLC., Trees Atlanta, is encouraging Atlanta drivers to join a new consumer-friendly program, ZERO Clean Driving, with the aim of generating more environmentally conscious drivers and planting more trees in Atlanta’s urban forest.

GreenPrint’s initial pilot program will provide consumers with the ability to fill their tanks with the world’s first Carbon Neutral Gasoline, ZERO. Atlanta is the first city in which this patent-pending product will be tested. The ZERO Clean Driving program will plant trees locally and invest in other green and alternative energy projects in order to neutralize the carbon emissions from Atlantan’s vehicles.

According to the latest data from the Atlanta Regional Commission, the average driver in Atlanta travels 32 miles per day living their life and commuting to and from work. This means that the 5 million plus Atlanta residents’ drive a total estimated 167 million vehicle miles per day. At an average single occupancy vehicle emission rate of 1.0 pound of CO2 per mile, Atlantans pollute 167,000,000 pounds of CO2 daily. This is supported by the latest data from the Carbon Dioxide Information Analysis Center at the Oak Ridge National Laboratory, which found that the average U.S. citizen produces over 38,000 pounds of CO2 annually, primarily through the burning of fossil fuels. That output is almost 3 times more than the average consumer in China and 10 times more than they typical Indian citizen.

Each time you fill up with ZERO, you make a world of difference right here in your community; it’s a difference you can breathe. ZERO Clean Driving invests in your future, and helps beautify Atlanta for everyone!

GreenPrint CEO Peter Davis said, “With no complex changes to the existing pump or gasoline mixture, customers can now neutralize their vehicle’s emissions by planting a tree locally when they purchase ZERO, Carbon Neutral Gasoline. Our patent-pending technology will enable people to drive away from the pump with not only a full tank, but a clear conscience too.”

Davis is joined in the new venture by Greg Levine, Trees Atlanta’s Co-Executive Director & Chief Program Officer. “Carbon Neutral Gas in Atlanta! This type of innovation should make any citizen proud,” said Levine. “This is just one easy way the nation takes care of its environment by supporting a fuel that advocates tree planting and other clean fuel innovations. Atlanta has the chance to lead the way once again.”

Join your fellow ZERO Clean Driving enthusiasts by pumping at participating Atlanta-area BP stations and investing in local green-scape and renewable energy projects.

The Atlanta-area BP stations participating in the pilot include:

1) BP Station – 3700 Old Alabama BP Station, Alpharetta, GA 30022
