The Docent Training Program prepares volunteers to become a Certified Volunteer Docent for Trees Atlanta’s walking tours of trees. Docents lead tree tours of the Atlanta Beltline Arboretum, Neighborhood Arboreta, as well as other greenspaces where Trees Atlanta has done planting and restoration projects. Docents can use their training to lead other speaking roles representing Trees Atlanta, such as talking about Trees Atlanta's mission and programs at community meetings and events.

The Docent Training Program consists of 5 classes, plus additional requirements after the classes if you wish to become a Certified Docent. Youth and adults are both welcome to become docents! An adult must accompany youth under the age of 16. Learn more about what is to be a Docent here.
