Join Trees Atlanta & Atlanta’s Edgewood neighborhood’s Kelly Hendry Draper & Daniel Solberg, virtually, for an inspirational opportunity to learn about this Atlanta neighborhood’s rally to protect Alba, the largest white oak tree in the city of Atlanta - and three other historic trees. We’ll hear their journey and lessons learned as community residents advocating for a future Atlanta that develops in a way that can marry density and conservation while honoring its tree champions and historical roots.

About the Presenters:

• Kelly Hendry Draper is a sustainability and climate resilience professional with over 20 years of experience leading initiatives that advance environmental performance and community impact. Based in Atlanta, Kelly is a grant consultant with Alloy Fundraising and volunteers as Co-Chair of the Parks & Greenspace Committee for Organized Neighbors of Edgewood (ONE). She is a strong advocate for land development practices that protect ecological assets such as mature tree canopy. Kelly co-leads efforts to preserve “Alba,” the city’s largest white oak and other historic oak trees on Sugar Creek. Connect with Kelly on LinkedIn.
• Daniel Solberg is an Atlanta-based videographer, musician, and neighborhood advocate whose work blends storytelling with community impact. Through his Meet Alba campaign, he has become a leading voice for protecting Atlanta's historic white oak trees and preserving the city's urban forest. His efforts to safeguard neighborhood trees and local history have earned recognition from CBS News and Atlanta Magazine. Professionally, Daniel is the founder of DSol® Productions and has served as the official videographer for the Atlanta Ballet since 2022.
