Growing with Pride

Join us for Growing with Pride 2027
Saturday, March 20, 2027

Growing with Pride is Trees Atlanta’s annual LGBTQIA+ networking and planting event. What began with a planting at Unearthing Farm & Market and Edgewood Church in 2022 has grown into one of our most anticipated events of the planting season.

Every year, we partner with the Atlanta Pride Committee and Mayor’s Office of LGBTQIA+ Affairs to bring together Atlanta’s queer community for a day of planting, skill-sharing, and networking. Each year, the project highlights a new LGBTQIA+ space or organization to champion their cause and raise awareness of their services.

This Year in Candler Park

For 2027, we’ll be planting in the Candler Park neighborhood around the queer-owned business Space Queen. We’ll also be dedicating trees to local Atlanta queer historical figures, a way to memorialize their importance to our local queer history.

🌈  Stick around after planting! Space Queen will host a local queer artist’s market with vendors, DJs, and food.

Taking Growing with Pride National

Trees Atlanta is looking to take this event national this year, hosting the same event on the same date with other planting programs across the country. In 2026, Nashville Tree Foundation joined the cause and together our projects installed over 120 new trees across both projects.
